Young Investigators Congress
The Young Investigators Congress (YIC) is a physics conference by and for students, organised by the Young Investigators Group. Students from the L3 and Master of Physics, along with PhD students, are warmly invited to attend or participate! Attending or participating is indeed a great opportunity for you to discover and familiarise yourself with the world of scientific conferences, which are a vital part of a researcher's life. This project also aims to promote open science in Strasbourg.
Why you should participate
- By attending the YIC, you will acquire an overview of the research in physics in Strasbourg.
- By giving a talk or presenting a poster, you will acquire useful skills for your future work as a researcher. Although this is a student initiative, this experience can be valued on your CV!
- The renewal of the QMat label/fellowship is partly conditioned to the profit you drew from being part of QMat. Participating to QMat events like the YIC may help!
Practical information
The YIC will take place on 14 September 2026. The location of the congress will be communicated as soon as possible.
Students interested in presenting their work completed during their internship (or as personal research) are invited to fill the linked form. Presentations can be made in two different formats, at the student's discretion: a 15-minute talk or a poster during a dedicated afternoon session.
The conference is open to the public without registration, so don't hesitate to come and see!
A detailed schedule will be made available in September!
